Due to the success of the first Gloria GloFish storybook, our client wanted a sequel to build on the story and become a desirable collector’s item. Our team recommended the new book not only tell a great story but also add layers of activities for readers to enjoy.

Inspired by the interactive possibilities of UV ink, our team wrote and illustrated “Gloria GloFish® and the Great Dragon” which held hidden clues that only the reader’s UV flashlight pen (included with the book) could reveal. We also added 3D glasses to help the bright illustrations jump off the page. To make the storybook appealing to collectors, this sequel was available only in specially marked GloFish® Aquarium Kits found at pet retailers nationwide.


Our brilliant little tale won a shiny award!

Sales of these specially marked kits exceeded expectations; social media comments were very positive; and the storybook received The Standard Group’s Excellence in Communication award for its storyline, illustrations, and innovative printing.
